The ingredients needed to make Masala mathri:
  1. Get 1 cup plan flour/ maida
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  3. Prepare 4 tsp ghee
  4. Make ready 1/2 tsp carrom seeds/ ajwain
  5. Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  7. Make ready 1 tsp salt to taste
  8. Take Oil for deep frying
Instructions to make Masala mathri:
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, and knead into stiff dough using enough water. Divide the mixture into equal portions.
  2. Roll out portion of the dough into a diameter circle. Prick the matari with a furk at regular intervals.
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry matari on a medium flames for about 8 to 10 minutes or till they golden brown on both sides.
  4. Drain on a absorbent paper, cool them to room temperature and enjoy masala matari with a cup of tea.
