Hey everyone, it is Louise, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to make a special dish, cherry pie. One of my favorites food recipes. This time, I will make it a little bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Cherry pie is one of the most well liked of current trending foods on earth. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions daily. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Cherry pie is something that I have loved my whole life.

To get started with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook cherry pie using 8 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Cherry pie:
  1. Prepare 1 recipe 2 shell pie crust. (see my flaky pie crust recipe)
  2. Get 6-7 cups fresh picked and pitted sour cherries. (you can use frozen. use about 2.5 lbs)
  3. Prepare 1 cup granulated sugar
  4. Get 1 tsp. vanilla
  5. Prepare 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  6. Get 2 Tbsp butter for dotting
  7. Get 2 Tbsp milk (to brush on crust)
  8. Make ready 1 Tbsp sugar (to sprinkle on milk.)
Steps to make Cherry pie:
  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. In a mixing bowl combine cherries, vanilla, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well. Let stand 5-10 minutes.
  3. Roll out first crust and line pie plate with it.
  4. Pour cherry mixture into pie plate
  5. Roll out top crust. I like to cut strips and make a lattice top.
  6. Dot pie with butter and place top crust on pie
  7. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar
  8. Place pie in oven on the middle rack and bake 35- 40 minutes, until crust is brown and pie is bubbly
  9. Allow pie to sit at least one hour before cutting to allow sauce to thicken.
