  1. Get 500 grams cabbage
  2. Take 1 capsicum
  3. Prepare 2 tablespoon oil or as required
  4. Prepare 2-3 green chilies
  5. Get 1 inch ginger
  6. Make ready as per taste Salt
  7. Take 2 pinch asafoetida
  8. Take 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  9. Take 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  10. Take 2-3 pinch sugar
  11. Prepare as per taste Lemon juice
  12. Take 2 green chillies
  13. Take as required few fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions to make Cabbage and capsicum sabzi:
  1. First wash properly cabbage and capsicum nicely. Cut it in to small size and wash it in a running water.Then place both in colander and let the water rinse properly.
  2. Take a kadhai,add oil,heat well, Add mustard seeds, as it splutters add,asafoetida.
  3. Then add whole green chilies and thinly sliced ginger. Fry it for few seconds then add cabbage and capsicum. Keep the gas flame high and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar.Mix it all well.
  5. Let it all cook on low heat,till the cabbage and capsicum are cooked well. Dont over cook it keep it little crunchy.
  6. Once the sabzi is cooked properly,add lemon juice and switch off the gas flame.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander and green chilies.
  8. Serve hot along with dal rice or chapati.
